Eric Proos

Eric is a Detroit area native and private practice attorney in Los Angeles, focusing on business transactions, litigation, and representing individuals in divorces and other legal needs. 

He received his B.S., cum laude, in political science with a double minor in economics and legal studies on a partial academic scholarship. Eric later attended the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and graduated in the top 25% of his class. 

While studying for the California Bar exam, Eric worked as a Post J.D. law clerk at a securities law firm. After successfully passing the Bar Exam on his first attempt, Eric volunteered at the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer’s Program family law clinic and San Diego Corporation Counsel. 

In 2014, Eric moved from San Diego to Los Angeles, where he gained more experience in family law working with Brett Berman. Eric also gained firm experience representing small to mid-sized businesses. Eric has represented business owners from incorporation to litigation and acted/acts as general counsel to several companies. Additionally, Eric has represented general contractors, subcontractors, architects, real estate development companies, and other professionals and companies in the real estate industry. 

Eric brings his transactional, litigation, family law, and work ethic to The Berman Law Group as of-counsel. In addition, Eric is here to work with Brett’s clients on various family law matters. 

Outside of operating a law firm of his own and being of-counsel to The Berman Law Group, Eric enjoys working out, spending time with his dog, and playing golf.
