Brett Berman is the managing partner and principal of the firm. Prior to opening the firm, Brett spent five years working for the family law firm Feinberg, Mindel, Brandt & Klein, LLP. Before becoming a lawyer, Brett served as a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch in New York City. Brett has published articles on complex family law issues in the Los Angeles Daily Journal newspaper and lectured on divorce taxation. He has also volunteered as a Judge for the Constitutional Law Foundation annual mock trial competition held at the Los Angeles Superior Court.

On the pro bono front, Brett has worked with the Los Angeles Domestic Violence Project, an organization committed to assisting abused and indigent women obtain domestic violence restraining Orders. He is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Beverly Hills Bar Association. Brett is also on the Board of ACFLS Charitable Foundation, an organization dedicated to helping California families deal with issues such as domestic violence, elder abuse, broken parent-child relationships, low income divorce issues, and much more.

Karen attended the University of California Los Angeles before embarking on a career as a family law legal secretary and office manager in 1989. After several years of working for various law firms, Karen attended law school at the University of West Los Angeles.

Due to her extensive experience in family law matters, Karen is involved in all aspects of family law cases from start to finish. Karen has a unique ability to quickly grasp and understand complex and diverse family law issues. Her deep understanding of family law derives from more than 30 years of experience. Karen is a passionate advocate for our clients and she seeks out every opportunity to help them achieve their goals, whether by trial or settlement. Our clients love working with Karen because of her extensive knowledge and skills, and her ability to support them throughout their complex and emotional cases. Karen in an invaluable asset to The Berman Law Group and we are grateful to have her on our team.

Lena Hensley is the Office Manager and Executive Assistant to Brett Berman.  Lena is an accomplished professional with over 25 years of success providing administrative support to senior executives in the political, banking, manufacturing, business and legal sectors. Her diverse background enables her to tailor her skills to meet the needs of various clients. In her role, Lena works alongside Brett in managing the day-to-day operations of the firm.

Eric is a Detroit area native, and private practice attorney in Los Angeles, focusing on business transactions, litigation, and representing individuals in divorces and other legal needs.

He received his B.S., cum laude, in political science with a double minor in economics and legal studies on a partial academic scholarship. Eric later attended the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and graduated in the top 25% of his class.

Eric brings his transactional, litigation, family law, and work ethic to The Berman Law Group as of-counsel. Eric is here to work with Brett's clients on various family law matters.

Outside of operating his own law firm and being of-counsel to The Berman Law Group, Eric enjoys working out, spending time with his dog, and playing golf.
